A Mother's Hopes

I hope you always feel the depths of my love. I hope you take that love and lead with it in everything you do.

I hope you fall so deeply in love with your life and your people, that so little can shake you.

I hope when tough moments arise you take all rejection in stride, all failures as ways to grow, and any moment you feel lost as an opportunity to simply adjust your course.

I hope you feel strength, purpose and passion within you, but always carry the conviction to be kind above all else. 

I hope you never stop seeing every morning as another sunny day despite the weather. 

I hope you never shy away from laughing loudly, from being silly, from embracing who you are unapologetically.

I hope you take some things seriously, but never yourself.

I hope you understand that you don't always win. You are not always picked. And, sometimes people may not like you for no good reason at all. And, that's ok.

I hope you learn that money is just a means to an end and not the driving force for your life and happiness.
